WHAT A BLOODY MESS.
Ok so I think I overextended myself a bit. No matter, practice makes perfect. Or at least makes you very tired. I was afraid I would ruin such a keen idea by using a method I’m not even remotely comfortable with. Like what happens with most people, I focused solely on the characters and half-assed the background. You should see the full picture. It was just so horrendous I wouldn’t dare post it without questioning my own ability to even pay attention to what’s in front of me. I do say it was a bit more fun then painting with acrylics. I’m sure if I did do this in something other than watercolours, it wouldn’t look as good. That’s saying a lot honestly. And before anyone thinks the proportions are off, well that was actually on purpose. I wanted the Joker to be “larger than life” and fantastical in a sense, which makes Bats diminutive in comparison. But for now toss it in the pile and start something new.
